Azalea, Rhododendron & Shrub Fertiliser

For robust plants and vibrant flowers

Description

For healthy growth and flowering of ericaceous plants, Azalea, Rhododendron & Shrub Fertiliser is perfect for acid-loving plants.

An organic-based feed with added iron, it can be used for heathers, conifers, magnolia, skimmia, camellia, berberis, hydrangea, pernettya, raspberry and blueberry plants.

This fertiliser is ideal for acid loving plants, helping them thrive in both neutral and acid soils, producing bigger blooms, greener leaves and robust plants.

Azalea, Rhododendron & Shrub Fertiliser:

  • Helps prevent yellowing of the leaves
  • Promotes robust growth and abundant flowering
  • Easy to handle and apply pellets

For established plants, sprinkle pellets at the base of the plant and incorporate into the soil. Feed twice; apply the first dressing at the start of the growing season in March/April and again at first flowering.

Regular use of Azalea Rhododendron & Shrub fertiliser, supplemented with applications of Seaweed plus Iron or Sequestered Plant Tonic will help growing conditions.

Sizes available:

  • 0.9 Kg box
  • 0.9 Kg pouch

How to use

Note: 1 small gloved handful contains approximately 30g

For Established Plants

Sprinkle pellets evenly at the base of the plant at a rate of 30 g/m2. Lightly incorporate into the soil. If soil is dry water in. Feed twice: First application should be carried out at the start of the growing season (March/April). Repeat the application at first flowering.

For New Plants

Sprinkle pellets evenly around the base of the plant at a rate of 30g/m2.Lightly incorporate into the soil. If soil is dry water in, preferably using soft or rain water.

For Chalky Soils and Plants with Yellowing Leaves

Alkaline and chalky soils are not suitable for growing acid loving plants such as Azaleas and Camellias. Alkaline soils lack available iron, an essential nutrient for acid loving plants, which is locked up by the soil’s high pH. By incorporating Vitax Azalea, Rhododendron and Shrub Fertiliser, together with moss peat or other acidic soil supplements, the plants will be provided with iron and the soil pH reduced allowing essential nutrients to be released for plant uptake.

Regular use of Vitax Azalea, Rhododendron and Shrub Fertiliser, supplemented with applications of Seaweed plus Iron will help growing conditions. Apply at 40 g/m2 and repeat one month after first application. Water in using rain water in hard water areas.

Hints & Tips

Store in a cool dry place, away from children, pets and food stuffs. Brush off any pellets from paths or paving after application.
