Upper or Lower Case?:
Searches are not case sensitive. All letters, regardless of how you type them, will be understood as lower case. For example, searches for "hurrans garden centre", Hurrans Garden Centre", and "HuRrAnS gArDeN cEnTrE" will all return the same results.
Garden Centre Name:
This search field is preset with 'wildcards' so that if you enter part of a garden centre name you are actually entering %garden_centre_name%, where % are wildcards. For instance, type in 'urr' and the search engine will return all names of garden centres that include the letters 'urr', which in this case include the names Hurrans and Thurrocks.

Garden Centre Postcode:
This search field is preset with a single 'wildcard', so that if you enter part of a garden centre postcode you are actually entering postcode% where % is a wildcard. So typing in GL (or gl) will return all the Gloucestershire garden centres with a GL postcode, type in GL1 will return all the garden centres with a Gloucester post code. This can be refined as much as you like, so GL or GL50 or GL50 2HQ may produce a result. |
Address & Town fields:
There are no wildcard presets in these fields, so to search for a garden centre which you think is on a road called Oundle Road in Peterborough, you could type into the address field, %oundle% |
Keywords:
The extended entry is a text field of about 25 words (max. 250 characters) in which garden centres can put keywords about specialist services/products that they provide. This search field is preset with 'wildcards' so that if you enter a word you are actually entering %word%, where % are wildcards. For instance, try typing in the word christmas to see a result. |
Manufacturer:
If you are looking to purchase an item made by a specific manufacturer would'nt it be helpful to locate a garden centre in your area that can supply that manufacturers products? Simply select the manufacturer of interest from the drop down list and click on search. Alternatively, combine with a choice of county to refine the area of results returned. |
