D-I-Y Easter Bonnet

You will need:
  • Poster board
  • Coloured tissue paper
  • 1m ribbon
  • Items to decorate, such as feathers, glitter, coloured paper, chicks, eggs, etc.
Directions
  1. Cut a large circle from the poster board-about 18 inches in diameter. Cut another hole in the middle of the circle, big enough to fit around your child's head. It should look like a donut. The next step is easy... Using craft glue or a glue gun add the decorations to the rim of the hat. Use a hole punch to add the ribbon tie.

  2. Cut another hole in the middle of the circle, large enough to fit around your head. It should look a little like a doughnut.

  3. The next step is easy and fun....

  4. Using PVA craft glue or a glue gun add as many decorations as you like around the rim of the hat. Really go to town using as much brightly coloured things as you can find.

  5. To attach a ribbon tie to keep the bonnet on your head, cut a 1m length of ribbon into two pieces.

  6. Take one of the cut ribbin lengths and staple it securely to the underside of the bonnet rim so that it will not show too much. Repeat for the other side.

  7. Cut the free ends of the ribbon into a v-shape to stop the ribbon fraying
