This idea can be used to revamp trellis panels across the top of a fence. Or alternatively, make one into a garden divider so it casts coloured shadows across plants and paving. Back light it at night for a dramatic effect.
Materials Coloured glass squares, Trellis panel, Hot glue gun, Paint (optional)

Step one: Paint the trellis the colour of your choice. Dark colours work well as they intensify the colours in the glass - rather like the effect you get from the black lead in a stained glass window. Step two: Leave the paint to dry and then apply a generous amount of glue from the hot glue gun to the trellis bar. Step three: Hold the glass in place until the glue has cooled and set. It should take about one minute.

Step four: Used to soften the top of a wall, the trellis screen will have plenty of light passing through it.
