Metal complements plants beautifully and it weathers attractively too. For impromptu entertaining, this hanging bucket can be filled with cut flowers arranged in wet oasis to enliven a garden wall, then later planted up for a more permanent display. The project is as ecologically sound as it is pretty, since this bucket that we used has been recycled, now enjoying a new lease of life after its intial incarnation as a citronella candle pot. Look around your kitchen, garden or tool shed for other metal objects that could be used instead, items such as old enamelled colanders or painters bucket are ideal.
