Even in the tiniest garden it is still possible to create an area that will attract wildlife. With a little thought and planning, all kinds of birds, mammals, amphibians and insects can be enticed into your plot. In fact there are probably already areas within your garden where birds come to feed, hedgehogs forage for food and butterflies flutter in the sunshine. By identifying the wildlife that already inhabits or visits your garden, it's easier to work out what needs to be done to encourage more.

This season-by-season guide will help you redesign part or all of your garden, helping the wildlife and increasing your enjoyment at the same time. Simply click on each of the season below for more.
